DESCRIPTION OF ITEM
i show any problems that i noticed
neat VINTAGE Original poster, as you see it,  aprox  40 x 50 inches, the color is very strong, but there is some obvious paper tear in the middle, at the crease junctions and edge (as shown).  circa 1915 but undated, the designer of the poster is not known, it was published by Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in London England, it is poster #82, this guy is very large, folded as shown, i think it has remained folded almost since issue back in the 1910's.  it was printed by David Allen & Sons.  i will ship this folded, safe and secure as shown in the last photo.  i great poster ready to be linen backed and preserved.
from the National Army Museum UK about this poster----"For the first year of the war voluntary enlistment into the Army held up well, but by the end of 1915 the number of new recruits was falling. Stories of the horrors soldiers were facing discouraged men from enlisting, Recruiters therefore made a last effort to avoid institutions conscription with posters like this. Despite their best endeavors, the demand was still not met, and the Military Services Act was passed in January 1916 to induce conscription."
