    Frank P. Pfleghar & William Schollhorn Antique Wing Outside Calipers 6" Pat. 1866 RARE!
    Frank P. Pfleghar and William Schollhorn of New Haven, CT were granted Pat. No. 51,967 on Jan. 9, 1866 for the design of this tool.  The patent was for the unique screw design to hold the dividers in position.
    Marked:  "Pfleghar & Schollhorn PAT. JAN. 9, 1866" on pivot mount.
    6" Tall, opens to about 6 1/2"
    These are missing the anchor tab that locks the calipers, see the detailed images, otherwise they are really nice.
