  • Condition: USED. Please see all photos, as item in the photos is the one you will receive. Shows wear and use and has nicks and chips. Brass hardware is in working order - turns and fully moves the inner brass slide. Steel thumbscrew is likely a replacement - fits fine and holds slide in place. Slide is cracked and has a collector's mark on side. Please see all photos and let me know if you have any questions.

    Early Rosewood & Brass Marking Gauge
    Length: 8" (approx.).
    No scales
    No makers marks.
    Collector's mark on slide.
    Owner's stamp "H.B.W" underneath the collector's mark.
    Shaft is solid, though shows wear/use.
    Slide is cracked and chipped.
    Steel thumbscrew on slide looks like a replacement.
    Hardware is brass other than thumbscrew and 3 slotted screws
